Wilson’s Queen’s Extra Strong is listed as a medium moist snuff which is an extra strong version of the popular SP. Which leads us to find out what Wilson’s SP is listed as. Wilson’s SP is listed as a medium moist snuff with a hint of Mediterranean citrus fruits. One’s assumption now would be that Queens Extra Strong has a stronger Mediterranean citrus fruit flavor than the SP. Due to myself never having tried the S.P. I can not say for certain if this is the case or not.
I have tried Wilson’s Tom Buck which is quite possibly my absolute favorite snuff for all day use. Now comparing Queens and Tom Buck we definitely have a match. I doubt anybody could tell the difference between the two.
Queen’s Extra Strong is a medium grain tobacco which is quite moist. It is for the most part easy to take. You have to take a bit more care with the Queens than with your typical Pöschl snuffs to ensure you don't hit the back of your throat with the snuff. It seems to be quite easy on the nose and for the most part keeps it quite dry.
As for the flavor, Queen’s Extra Strong has an absolutely great citrus scent to it. To me it smells like a lime with an attitude. It gives an ever so delightful burn followed by its refreshing citrus scent.
As I have mentioned earlier Wilson’s Tom Buck is my favorite snuff at this time. And Queen’s Extra Strong is an exact duplicate of Mr. Buck. I would give Tom Buck a perfect 10 rating so I am going to go ahead and give Queen’s Extra Strong a 9.9 only due to the fact I feel a bit more manly taking a pinch of a snuff called Tom Buck rather than Queen’s.
Wilson’s snuffs are available in the U.S. from Mars Cigars.
